RSSC HONOURS 89 FOR LONG SERVICE

MHLUME – A group of people get together and exist as an institution we call a company so they are able to accomplish something collectively that they could not accomplish separately – they make a contribution to society, a phrase which sounds trite but is fundamental.

Those were the words of RSSC Managing Director Nick Jackson as he congratulated the 89 employees in this year’s Long Service Awards held at Mhlume Country Club.
The ceremony was graced by the valued employees who have served the company for 10, 20 and 30 years career and management of the company who attended to highlight the magnitude of the events importance. In total, 33 employees were awarded for 10 years’ service, 20 for 20 years’ services and 36 for 30 years’ service.
This is one of many efforts by RSSC to appreciate employees for their loyalty and hard work.
Jackson highlighted with pride that the employee’s long stay in the company could only mean that their experience in the company has not only been a pleasant one but has also reflected positively on their careers.
“May I commend and appreciate all the awards recipients for their loyalty and dedication to the company for so many years. It is very exciting and heart-warming that all the awarded employees had collectively contributed a total of 1670 years’ experience,” Jackson said.
“One of the recipients, Joseph Dlamini was employed on February 28, 1979. Even though he celebrates his work anniversary every 4 years, he was happy that he had also achieved such a great milestone. Not only have they dedicated so much time to the business but their efforts have all contributed towards the betterment of the company and that has added value to the business.”
On the other hand, Acting Group Human Resource Manager Bheki Maziya said; “As part of our Employee Value Preposition (EVP), the employees’ quality of life and wellbeing provides a compelling case for the social corporate investment made as a direct contribution to our employees and their dependants. Therefore, recognition and appreciation of the sacrifices that employees have made to be separated from their families to support the RSSC vision was worth applauding.
The honoured guests were presented with gifts and certificates of appreciation.
